Lab news and updates:

August 1, 2025: The lab is one year old!!

July 3, 2025: We welcomed a group of visiting students from the Asian Culture and Education Society to introduce them to research and tour the lab.

June 29, 2025: Bailey presented work on dur-1 at a poster at the International worm meeting!

October 23, 2024: 7th graders from Waxahachie came to visit the lab and learn about tardigrades. We went out to hunt for tardigrades around campus and found nematodes and tardigrades in the samples we collected! Thanks to the students and teachers for visiting!

August 1, 2024: The Hibshman lab has officially launched at SMU! Time to get to work setting up the lab! If you are interested in genetics, biochemistry, or cell biology and want to help establish a dynamic lab culture feel free to reach out!
